1.Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, posting a listing, or otherwise using Advero (the "Platform," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, buyers, and sellers.
2.Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing on Advero.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- Each person may maintain only one active account. Accounts may not be transferred or sold.
- You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws in your province and Canada.
3.Your Account
When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, including a verifiable email address and phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We use phone verification, email confirmation, and bot-detection tools (such as reCAPTCHA) to help maintain a trustworthy community. Providing false verification information may result in account suspension.
4.Listings & Content
When you post a listing, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the item or service, or have the legal right to sell, rent, or offer it;
- The listing accurately describes the item's condition, specifications, and price;
- Photos are of the actual item being offered (not stock photos misrepresenting condition);
- The listing does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Advero a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform and in related promotional contexts (e.g., search results, category pages).
5.Prohibited Items & Conduct
The following may not be listed on Advero:
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or controlled substances
- Stolen goods or counterfeit/replica branded items
- Recalled products or items banned under Canadian consumer safety law
- Live animals where prohibited by provincial or municipal law, or animals obtained illegally
- Adult content, sexual services, or services prohibited under the Criminal Code
- Hazardous materials, or items requiring a license you do not hold (e.g., certain vehicles, medical devices)
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or "too good to be true" listings intended to scam buyers
You also agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users;
- Post spam, unrelated advertising, or repeatedly re-list removed content;
- Manipulate prices, post fake reviews, or create multiple accounts to evade restrictions;
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Platform;
- Circumvent our verification, security, or rate-limiting systems.
6.Fees & Paid Features
Basic listing and browsing on Advero is free. Optional paid features (such as Bump Up beyond the free daily allowance, or Featured Listing placement) may be offered for a fee, which will be clearly disclosed before purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Pricing is subject to change with notice posted on the Platform.
7.Transactions Between Users
Advero is a venue, not a party to any transaction. We do not inspect items, verify sellers' claims, process payments, or guarantee the outcome of any sale, purchase, rental, or exchange arranged between users. All transactions are solely between the buyer and seller.
- We make no warranty regarding the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing.
- You are solely responsible for exercising caution, verifying item condition, and choosing safe payment and meeting methods.
- Disputes arising from a transaction are between the buyer and seller; Advero is not obligated to mediate, though we may assist where feasible.
- We recommend meeting in public places and never sending payment before inspecting an item in person.
8.AI-Generated Suggestions
Advero uses AI tools to suggest listing titles, descriptions, category tags, and price ranges based on photos and text you provide. These suggestions are generated automatically and are not guarantees of accuracy, market value, or authenticity. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and confirming any AI-generated content before publishing a listing. Advero is not liable for outcomes resulting from reliance on AI suggestions.
9.Intellectual Property
The Advero name, logo, and Platform design are the property of Advero and may not be used without permission. User-generated content remains the property of the user who posted it, subject to the license granted in Section 4.
10.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Advero and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to losses from transactions between users, inaccurate listings, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Advero harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your listings, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other users.
12.Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms, engaging in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or at our discretion to protect the Platform and its users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
13.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
